Lebogang Nkoane is the founder and owner of 2LMN R+D a research and development company with a keen focus on interactive media (web and mobile) technologies. Through 2LMN, he has shaped the development and growth of a few online projects — 75; ttby; Gusto; Osiris; HALF and with some HIPPnotic and Studio83 Magazine achieving award notoriety: Loeries and The Bookmarks respectively.
He currently spends more time on growing another idea that he believes will emphasise a sentiment he believes in — bridging the divide digitally. And that idea “a way to be” is: a mobile service that gets you from .a to .b using public transport. In 2011 it was shortlisted in the Tech4Africa Innovation award. The service went live, for public consumption, in July 2012.
He has taught over 10 years at tertiary institutions (NEMISA, Design Center and Tshwane University of Technology) in the fields of web, mobile, internet development and sometimes mathematics. Lebogang Nkoane is a computer scientist who holds a BSc (HONS) in Computer Science and lives in Alexandra Township, Johannesburg.
